Public worship is the responsibility of the Parish of St Barnabas, whose vicar is the Reverend Liz Barnett. Reverend Barnett also serves as the Foundation Chaplain.
A range of community and volunteering activities offer the opportunity to get involved with the Chapel. If you are interested in finding our more or hiring the building for community use, please contact us.
Our charitable objects

Our trustees
Christ’s Chapel of God’s Gift at Dulwich charity is governed by a Board of 14 trustees. Trustees are appointed to the board ex-officio when they become trustees of The Dulwich Estate. Ten of these trustees are nominated by relevant bodies, including the Estate’s beneficiary school governors, the Dulwich Almshouse Charity and the Archbishop of Canterbury. The other four trustees are appointed by the Board through a selection criteria which aims to ensure a broad mix of skills and representation.
The Dulwich Estate is a charity, and the income that it generates from the management of its land and property is used to fund some specific objectives, set by its founder Edward Alleyn (1566-1626).
The Estate support students in seven schools, through means-tested bursaries and via a range of educational support packages. It is the major donor to the Christ’s Chapel Charity which maintains Christ’s Chapel as a place of worship and Dulwich Almshouse Charity which provides accommodation for older low-income residents.
